Ingredients

  • 300 g shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro or garnish

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, paprika, cumin, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl with the marinade. Toss the shrimp to ensure they are evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours, to allow the shrimp to absorb the flavors.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning. Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are opaque.
  • Transfer the grilled shrimp kebabs to a serving platter. Garnish with additional fresh parsley or cilantro and serve with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the top. These kebabs pair perfectly with a light salad, couscous, or grilled pita bread.
