Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic infused oil
  • 1 red bell pepper thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper thinly sliced
  • green onion tops chopped (for garnish)
  • sesame seeds for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, ground cumin, and chili powder. Mix well.
  • Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a wok or a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add garlic infused oil and stir for about 30 seconds until aromatic.
  • Add the marinated beef to the wok and stir-fry until it's browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the wok and set it aside.
  • In the same wok, add a bit more oil if needed and stir-fry the sliced bell peppers until they are tender yet still crisp.
  • Return the cooked beef to the wok and toss everything together to combine.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve the cumin beef over cooked rice or noodles.
