2tbspolive oil
1tspdried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This will help the seasoning stick better. Place salmon fillets in a baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil, and top with garlic, thyme, lemon slices, salt, and pepper.
In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
Spoon the lemon garlic sauce over each salmon fillet, making sure to coat them evenly. Use the back of the spoon or a brush to spread the sauce over the top and sides of the fillets.
Arrange thin lemon slices on top of the salmon fillets. This not only adds extra lemony flavor but also makes the dish visually appealing.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature of the salmon should reach 63°C (145°F).
Once baked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a minute. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Serve the baked lemon garlic salmon with a side of steamed vegetables, roasted potatoes, or a light salad for a complete and balanced meal. A drizzle of any remaining pan juices over the salmon can add an extra burst of flavor.
