Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon garlic-infused oil
  • 2 Thai red chilis
  • 1 tablespoon ginger finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup green onions green parts only, chopped
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • rice or rice noodles for serving

Instructions

  • Heat garlic-infused oil in a large pan over high heat.
  • Add chopped ginger, chilis and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add ground chicken and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, cooking until browned.
  • In a small bowl, mix gluten-free soy sauce, fish sauce, and maple syrup.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to combine.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for a few minutes.
  • Add green onions (green parts only) and fresh basil leaves. Stir until the basil is wilted.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the Thai Basil Chicken over rice or rice noodles.
